GHAWA seeks to deploy voluntary nursing and midwifery academics and clinical experts

Academics & Clinical Experts

As part of the Tanzania program, GHAWA seeks to deploy nursing and midwifery academics and expert practitioners to the Dar es Salaam region. Three month extended placements (in line with our AusAid funding agreement) and shorter two week placements using WA Health Community Leave Support may be available. Academics and expert nurses and midwives are required to provide academic and clinical education support towards the partnership programs in Tanzania whilst on placement.

Key topics include leadership in nursing and midwifery, research agenda and clinical expert subject areas that are aligned with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) in particular:

  • MDG 4 - Reduce Child Mortality
  • MDG 5 - Improve Maternal Health
     

The following FINANCIAL GRANTS is available for eligible candidates:

  • International Travel Grants
  • Community Service Leave Support
